Dr. Karrs, MD

Thomas Michael Karrs, M.D., Fellow (F.A.A.D) American Academy of Dermatology, Dr. Karrs holds certifications with the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Dermatology. His university appointments include Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at West Virginia Medical Center in Morgantown from 1987-1988 and Clinical Associate Professor of Dermatology for the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg West Virginia since 1996. A graduate of Penn State University, Dr. Karrs received his M.S. from WVU in Cellular Biology in 1980 and his M. D. from West Virginia University School of Medicine in 1984. He did his post-graduate training in Internal Medicine at West Virginia University Hospital in Morgantown West Virginia, and in Dermatology at Case Western Reserve Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland Ohio.

 

Dr. Karrs is involved in his community as a member of the local high school’s athletic foundation and hospital board of directors. He has publications in the American Journal of Dermatopathology and Journal of Cell Physiology. He loves spending time with his family, gardening and fishing.

Colin Burroughs has been a practicing physician assistant since 2001.  He earned his Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree through the U.S Army Physician Assistant Program.  The first 6 years of his career were spent caring for U.S Army Soldiers in urgent and emergency care settings.  He served with the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell Kentucky and deployed to Iraq in 2005.  He also served with the 1st of 501st Infantry Battalion at Camp Casey, Korea.

 

Colin moved back to West Virginia in 2007 with his wife, Angela and two children Zachary and Hayley.  He appreciates being back home and enjoys spending time with his family.  He welcomes the challenges that dermatology presents and treats patients of all ages.  Colin has a special interest in cosmetic procedures.

 

He is certified by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants, and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.  Colin is currently assigned to the 111th Engineer Brigade in the West Virginia Army National.
